Kodaline
The Hard Rock Cafe, Manchester
May 30th 2013
Last night we had the opportunity to attend an exclusive performance
from Kodaline at the Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester as they were recording a special
set to promote their forth coming album for Absolute Radio.
Kodaline are a four piece Irish Rock band from Dublin, who have a
unique sound and to date, two EP's.
Singing a host of songs from their new album 'In a perfect world', which
is out on the 17th June 2013, and songs from their EP's such as 'High Hopes', they had the audience hanging on their every
note.
Halfway through the performance they left the stage and went up onto
the balcony where they performed a rendition of Sam Cooke's 'Bring It On Home
To Me', with just a single guitar and no microphones. The vocals of the song carried well through
the venue and proved that they have real talent. It is easy to hide mistakes and flaws below
guitars and drums and not many performers will take the risk of totally unplugging.
All in all it was an amazing night and this is a band I look forward
to hearing more from in the future. The
performance will be broadcast on Absolute radio on the 13 June and is well
worth a few minutes of your time.
